                                                  Lander Streets 2018 Rehabilitation

Lander, Wyoming

 The City of Lander, Wyoming (OWNER) invites sealed bids for the Lander Streets 2018 Rehabilitation to include the following:

Schedule I work to include:

Approximately 43,400 square yards of full width milling, 6,600 tons of overlay, 870 square yards of fog seal, removal and replacement of 534 lineal feet of curb and gutter, sidewalk 250 pounds of crack routing and sealing, and other related work. Additive alternates may be awarded.

Schedule II work to include:

Approximately 32,280 square yards of full width milling, 3,280 square yards of 6’ wide edge milling, 5,590 tons of overlay, 7,865 square yards of chip seal, 20,150 square yards of fog seal, 1,850 square yards of patching, 1,168 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 313 square yards of sidewalk, 2,380 pounds of crack routing and sealing, and other related work. Additive alternates may be awarded.

Schedule III work to include a 400 lineal foot extension of new street construction to Academic Way:

Approximately 550 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 1,000 tons of base material, 215 tons of asphalt mix, 880 lineal feet of curb and gutter, and minimal connecting sidewalk.

Bids shall be delivered to: City of Lander, Wyoming, 240 Lincoln Street, Lander, Wyoming, October 23, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Each bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the name of the bidder and contain the words “Bid for Lander Streets 2018 Rehabilitation.

The bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Cashiers Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to post performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid.

No bids will be considered except from those contractors prequalified to bid in accordance with rules and regulations issued by the Wyoming Transportation Commission. The bids of contractors who are not prequalified as required prior to the time of opening bids will not be read or considered.

A mandatory pre-bid conference and project showing will be held October 18, 2018, 1:00 p.m., at City Hall in Lander.

The Project Manual and bid documents may be inspected at the offices of the Owner, City of Lander, 240 Lincoln Street, Lander, Wyoming. Copies of the Project Manual and bid documents may be obtained upon payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) non-refundable plan fee for each complete set.  Project Manual and bid documents may be obtained from the office of James Gores and Associates, 111 North Third East, Riverton, WY  82501, (307) 856-2444. Electronic copies of the bid documents may be obtained free of charge from www.goresengineers.com .

Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening. It is to be understood that the OWNER may reject any and all bids, make substitutions and waive any informalities and technicalities as will be in their best interest.

In accordance with Wyoming Statutes 16-6-101 et. seq., a preference will be given to materials, supplies, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the State.
